Columbia Gorge Adventure
June 28, 2014
The Traveling Ewe’s™ inaugural trip… don’t miss out! Our Columbia Gorge Adventure™ has a limited number of seats available for this fun day trip to the beautiful, scenic Columbia Gorge and Hood River.
Your $85 ticket includes transportation in our very comfy coach, lunch with soda or iced tea, a glass of wine at Mt. Hood Winery, and lots of fun!
We will leave Gresham on Saturday, June 28th at 9:45am sharp on a luxurious motor coach, driven by an experienced, professional driver. We will be driving for about an hour with time to chat with friends and work on our current projects. The coach will leave from Gresham City Hall (not the Metro parking lot next door) and parking is available there for no cost, just make sure you get a parking permit from your tour guide for your windshield. Address: 1333 NW Eastman Parkway Gresham, OR 97030
We will arrive in Hood River at 11am with half the group going up to Knot Another Hat for an hour of shopping (they are offering a lovely discount of 20% off for our group!) and the other half dining at Celilo, one of the best restaurants in Hood River.
There are three entrée options for lunch, please see details in the Lunch Menu Options tab then choose which you would like from the pull down menu when you are ready to book your ticket. One option (the salad) was specifically designed to be vegan and gluten and nut free. If you have a special dietary issue that is not met by any of the options, the restaurant will be happy to accommodate you, just let us know in advance by choosing the appropriate option from the pull down menu.
At 12 noon, the groups will switch places, with the diners heading upstairs to shop and the shoppers coming downstairs to dine.
At about 1pm we will again board our super comfy coach to head out to Foothills Fibers Alpaca Farm and Shop, about 15 minutes outside Hood River. There will be cute alpacas to pet and feed as well as a lovely shop that carries not only alpaca yarn from their own farm as well as others, but commercial yarns and fiber as well.
We will conclude our excursion with a glass of wine at Mt. Hood Winery where we will have tables and chairs set up for us on the sunny patio. You will have a choice of a glass of red or white wine or water while we have show and tell about what you purchased during our trip. There may be prizes!
We will leave at 4:00pm to head back to Gresham, arriving back at about 5:30pm.
