Sheepish in Seattle
Saturday, April 8 – Sunday, April 9, 2017

By popular demand we will once again travel from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington this April 8th and 9th! Join us and return to favorites Maker’s Mercantile, Tolt Wool and Yarn, Churchmouse Yarns and Teas, Ewe and I, and Serial Knitters – as well as new this year shop Bad Woman Yarn.

Maker’s Mercantile is the company store for Skacel Knitting and always has a great inventory of yarn, and of course ALL the needles and hooks, as well as tons of creative and inspiring shop samples. We will have a box lunch and might get a chance to chat with Karin Skacel, owner of the company.

Tolt Wool and Yarn is located in scenic Carnation, Washington and has a lovely, earthy, wooly aesthetic that is always so inspiring. They have lovely samples, tons of exclusive yarns, and are just a fun place to visit.

Churchmouse Yarns and Teas is one of the flagship West Coast shops, located on Bainbridge Island, Washington. They have a stunningly beautiful store, lots and lots of shop samples to give you ideas for what to make and always roll out the red carpet for us. We love it here!

Serial Knitters was a new favorite last year, with a very deep inventory of yarn as well as so many bags. They were super helpful and had lots of ideas for us about what to make with their yarns.

Ewe and I in Chehalis, Washington is a newer yarn shop with a sheep cheese production facility attached…they have very busy sheep in Chehalis! Located in quaint downtown Chehalis, the shop has a lovely old fashioned feel to it and is full of great yarns (as well as coffee for a caffeine hit!)

Bad Woman Yarn is new this year. Located in the historic Wallingford Center this stop is packed full of lovely yarns. They have been around for awhile, first in Mananita and then later in Seattle (to be closer to family), so they have a deep knowledge of all things knitting and yarn. And there is a cupcake shop right down the corridor from them… so lots of good here!

We will once again be spending the night at the Best Western Executive Inn with their spectacular views of the Space Needle. This is easy walking distance to a variety of dinner locations, or they have a restaurant right in the hotel as well. This is a lovely, comfortable hotel with a great lobby and lounge for sitting and chatting while knitting in the evening.
