The Traveling Ewe’s™ first ever trip TO Portland… We’re calling it Purlandia™!
We will be leaving the Seattle area and heading to Portland for a weekend of great shopping! We will depart Saturday by luxury motorcoach and arrive late morning at the Knitting Bee for our first stop. Then after a lovely lunch, we will head to For Yarn’s Sake in Beaverton for some more shopping.
Our last stop of the day will be at Wool ‘N Wares yarn shop in West Linn before we head to our hotel by the river for the evening. Dinner is on your own, but the hotel has a shuttle that will take you into sweetly retro downtown Oregon City to the restaurants if you like.
In the morning we will have breakfast and then head to Twisted yarn shop. After that we will stop at Happy Knits for a little more shopping. After Happy Knits we will get an exclusive tour of the in-home studio of JaMpdx, who create beautiful ceramics for knitters and crocheters.
After that we’ll partake in a delicious lunch, then we will get an exclusive tour of the Knitted Wit studio and the opportunity to purchase some of her great yarns before we head back to Seattle.
Local folks are encouraged to join us by hopping on the bus at our first stop in PDX – the Knitting Bee. Please note that we will only be able to drop you off at our final stop of the Knitted Wit studio on Sunday afternoon, not return you the Knitting Bee. Pricing is the same whether or not you take the coach from Seattle.
This trip includes a professional driver with a luxury coach, light breakfast both days, lunch both days, and a double occupancy hotel room. (If you don’t have a roommate we are happy to set you up with one, or you can upgrade to a single room.) Roommate requests will be honored as much as is possible, please just add those to the notes section at checkout. Cost is $335 for double occupancy, $100 additional for private room.
If you have a different dietary requirement, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are also happy to accommodate physical restrictions; this is actually a great way to travel for someone that uses a walker or cane, as you get door to door drop offs with minimal walking required. If you have these or other special requirements, please do let us know by selecting the appropriate item from the drop down menu when you register. We’ll then contact you directly to discuss details.
Please read our Helpful Hints & Rules page before booking your trip! Remember – your trip is non-refundable.
